Yes, you must be wondering why I'm cursing people. I just got an email from my teacher, a list of CHOCOLATES THAT IS NO LONGER HALAL.
The email says: Dear All,
All the below Masterfood Company Chocolate Products (Mars) are no longer Halal. They started using Animal product rennet(pork) in it for products that have expiry date after 1 st of October 2007.

My fav choc! Mars bars, Twix, M&M, Maltesers, Skittles and more but especially Mars Bar! NOOOO!
These people who make those chocolate, of course for money right? But since they're like this, in this way, i dun think they're getting richer, but instead Bankrupt ada plg. I'm not so sure whether it's true or not, but it was said that they used either pork or animal product rennet. Masterfoods said the change was due to it switching the sourcing of its ingredients and the admission was a "principled decision" on its part.
Rennet: a chemical sourced from calves' stomachs, is used in the production of whey.
But still, if it's pork or somethin' else, I'd still say SHIET.
